Last summer, after spending half an hour in the firing shop of a ceramics company, the author went under the Red Sun and did not inspect the flames of the hot sun on the top of the head. Instead, he felt extremely cool, and the production workshop was hard to resist. The workers under the hot summer are hard, and it is very necessary for the company to have some kind of care. The State stipulates that employers should arrange laborers to pay high-temperature subsidies to workers in high-temperature weather (days with a maximum temperature of 35°C or more), work in the open air, and fail to take effective measures to reduce the temperature of the workplace to less than 33°C.

However, if some companies refuse to implement high-temperature subsidies, what are employees? In an environment of unequal industrial relations, employees often become the “silent majority” and refuse to investigate.

However, is there no condition, no solution, no way to solve this problem? As a matter of fact, corporate unions, as a sanctified law, have given loyal representatives to safeguard the interests of employees. It is a conditional, methodical and avenue to perform their duties in accordance with the “Trade Union Law” and to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of ordinary employees.

Many years ago, I had worked in civil affairs in Sichuan for a period of time and entered the ceramic industry. I also paid special attention to labor unions and enterprise labor unions in production areas. There are many trade unions in all the counties and cities in the ceramic producing areas. It is generally believed that such small-scale enterprises with backward technologies and chaotic management, and backward areas, are prone to conditions such as poor working conditions, infringement of the legitimate rights and interests of employees, and ignoring corporate social responsibility. However, in fact, the occurrence of workers’ pay talks in the ceramics industry in recent months reflected that many large and medium-sized enterprises with long history and sound systems and developed regions also have many problems. The role of the trade unions during this period is minimal, but they are absent leaders and silent spectators.

The trade union is a mass organization voluntarily combined by employees and enjoys the protection of the "Trade Union Law," while safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of employees is its basic duty. In fact, unions and enterprises are not natural opposition. All that the trade unions do is to make the company grow healthily. It is only different from the angle and the carrier. Trade unions have the basis for coordinating dialogue between employers and employees. Trade unions are both workers' spokesmen and workers' helpers. Their existence helps to resolve contradictions and disputes. From this perspective, trade unions are the link between business owners and workers.

However, as one jingle puts it, real-life unions tend to simply “pull and sing and play, take pictures, arrange venues, and take the lead”. This situation is not uncommon. In recent years, there has been no substantive breakthrough. In fact, this can be considered very good, but what is more is the complete marginalization of the union. In the contradiction between labor and capital, trade unions often feel that they are in a bad situation. They basically can only solve problems that cannot solve any substantive problems. They even stand on the side of strong capital division and suppress workers. The enterprise trade union or the production area union becomes a vase-like decoration, which undoubtedly establishes its mode of establishment.

Have a profound relationship. It is understood that at present, the trade unions of the enterprises or the labor unions of the production areas are all built from top to bottom, resulting in a serious lack of independence of the trade unions, and their positioning is ambiguous. Many trade unions have spent their energy on organizing labor competitions and other aspects, but have done nothing to protect their rights. . At the same time, the trade unionists are affiliated with the enterprise and hold the boss’s jobs to work for the benefit of the employees. It is inevitable that they will shirk their advances, and they will be tempted to evade justice. Some enterprise trade unions** are directly held by relatives and cronies of the bosses, and are also suspected of seeking profits for the employers.

This era is obviously a lot of incitement, grievances, anger everywhere. The lesions of the times must also be brought into the company. The same company, full of differences and differentiating ways of life and values, is like a tear. As grassroots employees, it is inevitable that there will be no confusion and grievances, and these are just as easy to spread as infectious diseases. All business owners have emotions, seeing thousands of workers, as if sitting on the crater every day. In this pent-up atmosphere, the union is undoubtedly the best tool to maintain stability, the most effective communication platform, and the release of the pass, repairing the damaged texture of the company and pacifying employees' anger. In particular, at present, social and economic components, organizational forms, employment methods, interest relationships, and distribution methods are increasingly diversified, and it is more likely that enterprises will encounter such problems in the labor-management relations, and the trade unions will face new problems and new challenges. If trade unions are still marginalized, I am afraid that this will lead to a greater crisis.

So far, the most successful ceramic industry is the production of products, and the most important thing is the system construction. Without a modern system, there will be no modern enterprise. Without a modern enterprise, there will not be a modern industry. As an organizational guarantee system, the trade unions will make the business operations more orderly. Therefore, the author believes that the current trade union construction must be put on the agenda.
