Although the exact mechanism for the formation of commas remains to be demonstrated by more laboratory research projects, many factors affecting the frequency and extent of commas have been understood and mastered. These include welder adjustments and copper additional wheels.
To further understand the role of the copper additional wheel, it is necessary to understand the geometry of the welding area. The relationship between the contact length of the welding copper wire and the diameter of the welding wheel clearly shows that the welding contact lengths of the upper and lower welding wheels are not the same. This uneven contact increases the heating intensity of the welding current to the inner welding seam and thus increases the maximum heating area. , It is possible to produce a comma, and because the inner weld wheel is small, it will apply more pressure on the overlapping inner surface in the softened state of the material, resulting in the formation of typical fine wavy solder joints. When the location of the welding crown is lower, the welded plate is brought into contact with the lower welding wheel earlier, resulting in a longer welding contact length, so that the welding heat distribution in the overlapping area is more uniform. The ideal data is usually -0.5 mm to -0.8 mm relative to the zero position of the welding wheel. At the same time, if the copper additional wheel is used, the effective welding contact length of the inner welding wheel will further increase. And support the welding point formed in the welding process, so that the slight wavy degree of the solder joint is reduced.
The smaller the diameter difference between the upper and lower welding wheels, the less the chance of a comma.
The quality of the weld is related to three parameters: the diameter of the weld wheel, the additional diameter of the copper wire, and the height of the welded positioning jar. The actual operation proves that the main measure to eliminate the comma is to use a new generation of welding power source, optimize the adjustment of the welding machine and ensure the quality of the cutting board.
