Small, shallow dents on pine and other cork are usually easy to remove, and large, deep dents, especially on hardwoods, are more difficult to repair. The dents on the bare wood are the easiest to remove, but very large shallow dents are best left untreated, and deep dents should be filled. See the description of cracks and scratches below.
On painted surfaces, the topcoat around the damaged area must be removed. Carefully remove the topcoat around 1.3 cm around the dent with fine sandpaper. To make the wood in the dent rise, first drop a few drops of water into the dent, let the water penetrate the wood in a day or so, but do not soak the entire surface, so the treatment may be enough to dent, especially in the dent Lighter and softer wood.
If this method does not work, dip the cloth into the water and screw out the water. The wet cloth was folded over several layers and covered on the dents, and the cloth was pressed tightly with a hot iron.
Be careful not to let the iron touch the wood directly. The heat of the water vapor may cause the wood to expand and dent. If the wood does not swell, use a commercial wood expansion agent in the area, leaving a certain amount of time for the expansion agent to take effect, which is about one day.
