How waterproof waterproof blanket?

The ground soil composite waterproof blanket (GCL) is a new type of geosynthetic material. It consists of a graded natural sodium base
The clay particles and the corresponding admixtures are mixed as raw materials, and the carpet-like waterproofing membranes made of bentonite particles are fixed between the geotextiles and the plastic woven fabrics by a needling process and equipment. Bentonite waterproof blanket not only has all the characteristics of geotechnical materials, but also has excellent waterproof (seepage) performance

Bentonite waterproof blanket according to the production process can be divided into: acupuncture sodium bentonite waterproof blanket, acupuncture coating sodium bentonite waterproof blanket and adhesive sodium bentonite waterproof blanket.
The acupuncture-coated sodium bentonite waterproof blanket is composed of a layer of high-density polyethylene geomembrane on the outer surface of the non-woven geotextile of a sodium bentonite bentonite waterproof blanket.

The bentonite particles swell with water to form a uniform colloidal system. Under the restriction of the two layers of geotextiles, the bentonite changes from disorder to orderly expansion. The result of continuous water swelling is that the bentonite layer itself is compacted, thus having Waterproof effect.

Impervious principle
The mineralogical name of bentonite is montmorillonite, and the natural bentonite is divided into two major categories based on chemical composition: sodium and calcium. Bentonite has the property of swelling with water. When calcium bentonite expands, its swelling is only about 3 times of its own volume. Sodium bentonite adsorbs water with five times its own weight when it meets water and expands to more than 15-17 times its original weight. The sodium bentonite is locked in the middle of the two layers of geosynthetic materials, and plays a role of protection and reinforcement, so that the GCL has a certain overall shear strength.
