Pre-paste self-adhesive waterproof membrane and application technology

In the past, designers had little choice for a waterproof system with a “blind edge” structure. The difficulties encountered in dealing with waterproofing of the active surface of the structure result in either only partial waterproofing, or simply nothing waterproof. Now, with the birth of a new technology that first constructs waterproof membranes, a "blind edge" waterproofing system can be used and can achieve waterproofing requirements.
In this paper, a brand new pre-construction waterproofing technology will be introduced, including its working mechanism, challenges, benefits and construction methods.
Background: Completely changing the concept of structural waterproofing Some people say that "demand is the mother of innovation." Like so many great innovative products, Prevrufe@ technology caters to the obvious needs of the construction market. The traditional coil is installed on the foundation cushion, and the bottom of the concrete poured on the coil is due to the settlement of the foundation, and no adhesion is formed between the waterproof coil and the base plate. This means that waterproofing membranes, or sheets, paints, and asphalts have nothing in the structure itself. Chemical bonding.
All these systems can only maintain close contact with the structure that needs waterproof protection if they rely on the underlying support. Once this type of support is lost, the waterproof system will lose its effectiveness. Groundwater will invade the waterproof layer between the bottom plate and the most basic. Find weak points on the floor, seep into the basement, tunnels or other structures. In the past many years, this problem has been particularly prominent in many failed underground projects.
Product Development Challenges The basic parameters for product design are set to:
. The waterproof membrane must form a continuous and permanent bond with the concrete poured on it.
. It must be able to withstand the direct effect of the construction load and the impact of the steel frame without the need for extra protection. The installation is simple and the nodes are easy to handle.
. Easy to check integrity.
. It can be used in any weather throughout the year and has no effect on its durability.
. Anti-biogas and chemical corrosion resistance.
The functional analysis of the final application of the product determines the harshness of the above performance indicators. The R&D program therefore determines the unique composition of the coil—the load-bearing film, the adhesive layer and the protective layer on the surface. The effective combination of the three meets the synthesis of material properties. Claim.
After thorough and thorough laboratory and construction site testing, Prebrufe products were officially commercialized in the United States and the United Kingdom in 1992.
Yu Construction Technology Bonding Mechanism The ability of pre-constructed concrete to be pre-cast on a coil to form a watertight bond is based on the unique properties of the coil. This bond should not be confused with chemical bonding. It is an exceptionally strong mechanical bond created by the interlocking of liquid concrete and the coil's soft, pressure sensitive adhesive layer.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive is coated on a high-density polyethylene support film and covered in sequence. 7-layer protective layer to protect against environmental erosion. The synergistic effect of these two materials forms a strong bond with concrete because both layers are soft, consistent, and have strong internal adhesion.
When the liquid concrete is poured on the surface of the pre-constructed web, the soft consistency of the two layers allows the liquid concrete to conform easily to the web. Viewed under the microscope, tiny grooves and bulges appear at the interface, and the 1dE coils and the concrete form interlocked with each other, and the contact with the concrete is completely sufficient and almost instantaneous.
Due to the strong intrinsic adhesion between the two layers of material, it takes considerable effort to overcome this inherent bond when pulling the coil from the concrete surface.
It is these two properties combined with the combination of bonding and surface interlocking that can be seen with a microscope, so that the web is so quickly bonded to the concrete.
Construction installation Preprufe is supplied in two grades. The 300R is used for horizontal construction, that is, where it is necessary to resist damage to the coils that may be caused by construction work. The 160R is used for vertical surfaces.
The Preprufe 300R simply stretches outwards and loosely spreads over the concrete mat with the adhesive layer facing upwards. The coils can be laid directly on "incompletely cured concrete" or on wet surfaces where there is no water, and then the plastic protective film is torn off. 75 mm laps are printed on the web to facilitate the positioning of adjacent webs and ensure the continuity of the web.
Prerrufe 160R (cut to a suitable size and install it in the vertical plane, mechanically fastened to the formwork, or with a wooden bar across the top and nailed down along the edge of the seam. Use the next roll to cover Nail the cap and form a lap. Then remove the plastic protective film).
For the end of the web and the cuts, use Preprufe tape.
The reinforcement is placed directly on the coil and does not require any protection. Concrete should be poured within 40 days after the coil is installed.
Benefits In addition to these obvious technical benefits and customers' confidence in watertightness over the life of the structure, the benefits of the industry are:
. Buildings can stick to the red line, leaving no valuable land area for later construction of waterproof materials, such as self-adhesive or hot-melt installed coils. Designers can make the best use of the land.
. Minimal surface treatment: no base oil or hot air is needed to dry the damp base layer, no volatile substances.
. The corners are easy to handle, especially plate and wall joints, without the need for additional chamfering or reinforcement.
. No need for time-consuming and costly cement mortar protective layer.
. Cold construction, no heating hazards.
. No professional construction staff is required.
. No binder or chemical mixing is required.
. Can withstand unfavorable weather conditions. The coils are not affected by rain, snow and freeze-thaw cycles.
. In a narrow construction environment, no maintenance is required.
According to the contractor's feedback, Prevrufe can save more than 50% of the installation time compared to the traditional waterproofing system, with the attendant benefit of being able to resume work quickly after continuous bad weather. The benefits of these on-site installations and the integrated simplicity of use greatly reduce the reliance on successful waterproofing (construction) skills and reduce the chance of error.
Application Preprufe waterproofing membranes are widely used in many large-scale projects around the world, such as Boston's Big Dig, Singapore subway, Milan subway, and Bluewater shopping center in Kent, UK.
The 20-kilometer northeastern line of the A, Slope subway northeast line project is an extension of the original S subway track network, including 13 stations and a garage, all underground.
Grace Prepru pre-construction waterproofing membrane was applied to this project. About 150,000 square meters of Prepm was used for waterproofing the floor, and 500,000 square meters of Bituthene Bisset 3000 was installed on the side wall and ceiling.
B. The total price of the Singapore KPE tunnel highway contract is 1.8 billion yuan.
The length of the tunnel is 9 kilometers. The total length of the overpass is 3 kilometers. Estimated completion date: In 2007, the 12-km-long KPE highway had a total investment of about S$1.8 billion. When completed, it will become the longest tunnel highway in Southeast Asia.
A quarter of the KPE project, contract number 423, has been issued by the owner of the Singapore Transportation Authority to Samsung. The contract includes the design and construction of a 2.96-kilometer-long tunnel from the Pan Island Express to Ubi Road. The tunnel will be constructed using large excavation methods, crossing the Pelton Canal and Airport Road, intersecting AUunied Road, Merpati Road and Paya Lebar Road, with a total investment of SGD 364 million.
Mott MacDonald was contracted by Samsung to specify the KPE underground section of the project to provide all detailed designs, including 2.96 km of long tunnels, 2 ventilation structures, 5 cross routes, 2 highway bridges and 1 transfer station. This tender section is the most difficult section of the entire expressway because the 36-meter-wide tunnel will pass through a canal that is 27 meters wide and 2 kilometers long. Preprue's waterproof system has been selected for this section of the project. The project was started in August 2003 and is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2005. About 130,000 square meters of Prevrufe and 380,000 square meters of Bitumen membrane will be installed in this project.
