According to the relevant person in charge of the CNCA, the project aims at addressing the new trends in international negotiations on climate change and the needs of China's low-carbon development policies, through the study of international industry emission reduction measurable, reportable, verifiable mechanisms and China's industry carbon accounting And the reporting system and the development of key technologies for the verification of carbon emissions from key industrial enterprises will provide certification and technical support for emission reductions in the power, shipping, chemical, steel and building materials industries.

The responsible person also pointed out that the project research is groundbreaking, but unlike the theoretical discovery of basic disciplines, these groundbreaking researches are for use, from enterprises, verification agencies, industry associations to competent authorities, and the projects are designed and studied. The project study also focuses on the development of low-carbon certification technical specifications, standards, and implementation rules for five categories of products such as architectural ceramics, tires, hot-rolled steel strips, plates, and textiles. The analysis and research life cycle assessment theory is used in low-carbon product certification in China. Apply principles, formulate technical standards, certification rules and accreditation rules for low-carbon products that suit China's national conditions, and at the same time build a low-carbon product certification that is not only in line with international standards, but also conforms to the national conditions, focusing on improving the international adoption of low-carbon product certification in China.
