Highly toxic pesticides in South Fujian

Highly toxic pesticides in South Fujian In recent years, the incidents such as poisonous kidney beans and formaldehyde and cabbage have caused people to pay unprecedented attention to the abuse of highly toxic pesticides. In fact, the State Council promulgated regulations on pesticide management in 2001 and made new amendments in 2010. Various departments and local governments have also issued various specific management measures. However, the abuse of pesticides in fruits and vegetables has become a major problem for ordinary people on the table. Now, to what extent are high-toxic pesticides flooded? Are local governments' heavy bans on them? From June 17th to June 27th, it was the national food safety awareness week, and a reporter from “The Economy Half Hour” came to Shaanxi, a major agricultural province, and investigated the important vegetable base of the province, Weinan City, focusing on hazardous pesticides.

1. High-toxic pesticides are found in hundreds of pesticide shops in the southern Fujian agricultural product market. It is located in the widest area of Qinchuan in 800 Baili. It is known as the “Guanzhong Granary” and “Shaanxi Cotton Silo”. It owns grain, cotton, Apple and other top 10 agricultural product bases, these agricultural products are widely sold to Beijing, Shanghai, Shandong and other places. In the pesticide market in Weinan, Shaanxi, a variety of high-toxic pesticides have spread, dealers have violated regulations and are arbitrarily sold. They neither require proof of certification nor registration of real names, regardless of the injection and use of these highly toxic pesticides. Then, how can these local farmers be used for these highly toxic pesticides that are easily bought?

In the agricultural material market on the Minsheng Street in southern Fujian Province, there are nearly 100 pesticide stores, large and small. The reporter randomly walked into a house and saw several large boxes of different types of pesticides stacked in the store. The reporter consulted with the owner on grounds of insects in the ground. The shop owner did not hesitate to recommend to us high-toxic pesticides that were restricted by the State. "oxygen**".

Oxygen**, also known as ****, is a dangerous and highly toxic pesticide. As early as 2002, the Ministry of Agriculture imposed restrictions on its use. However, in order to promote pesticides, the shopkeeper flickers reporters, saying that oxygen is only toxic pesticides, can be used on any vegetable and fruit tree.

In addition to selling oxygen to reporters, the shop owner also said that they have even more potent insecticides. The reporter saw that the owner took out the bottle of pesticides from the inside of several big boxes of pesticides, and even the owner himself could not directly touch the bottle with his hands. Instead, he took a plastic bag and caught the bottle. He was cautious. The action seems to be for fear that the pesticide leaks out a little bit. The reporter saw that the bottle of this pesticide was painted with a horrible and highly toxic sign, and the instructions for use were also clearly marked: it can only be used for seed dressing or soaking in cotton, and it is prohibited for food, vegetables, and fruit trees. However, the owner of the store enthusiastically recommended to reporters that the use of pesticides to disinfest the vegetables, and claimed that any crop can be.

Since 2011, the Ministry of Agriculture has demanded that "highly toxic pesticide business units should be approved and standardized, purchase real-name pesticides, record the flow of information, and make fixed-point management dynamics" so that "high-toxicity pesticides can be searched for 100% information, and 100% flow can be tracked. , 100% quality guaranteed" (target). Shaanxi also implemented strict management of the “five systems” for highly toxic pesticides throughout the province in 2012, requiring detailed registration of the source of the highly toxic pesticide products, the identity of the purchaser, the number of purchases, the time of purchase, the purpose of purchase, and contact information. Anyone who purchases highly toxic pesticides must purchase it on the basis of his/her own ID card or copy and the certificate of planting issued by the local village committee or cooperative economic organization. However, in the pesticide store in southern Anhui, the shopkeeper did not ask the reporter to issue any certificates and sold the two bottles of highly toxic pesticides, “oxygen” and “***”, to us. The owner told reporters that these are not highly toxic and do not require registration.

In order to reassure reporters, the shop owner repeatedly stated that these pesticides were not highly toxic, neither proof nor registration. In this way, reporters easily bought these highly toxic pesticides. Subsequently, the reporter went into another pesticide shop again. The owner of the store heard the reporter's accent in the field and was very alert. She said that the highly toxic pesticides that the Ministry of Agriculture has banned and restricted the use of are all marked on the wall and will never be sold in the store. The reporter asked why the drug was still placed in the shop. The shopkeeper said that the Ministry of Agriculture prohibited the sale of the drugs. These drugs were not sold.

Just as the reporter planned to leave, the shopkeeper had promoted a pesticide called 3911 to reporters. In order to do more business, the owner turned to the partition room behind. Along with a pungent smell of pesticides, she raised a large bottle of pesticides from a very secluded door. The reporter found that it was ***. The owner told reporters that this is a good thing to kill insects 3911***, 24 yuan a kilogram.

It turned out that the 3911 pesticide that the shop owner enthusiastically promoted to reporters was the highly toxic pesticide that the Ministry of Agriculture had banned for vegetables and fruits. In this store, the reporter found that it also did not carry out special counter operations on highly toxic pesticides as required, and there was no real name purchase registration. Are these shop owners who illegally and arbitrarily sell high-toxic pesticides not aware of the dangers of highly toxic pesticides? A shop owner told reporters that because local vegetable growers often buy high-toxic pesticides in large quantities, they themselves do not eat the real estate vegetables and fruits.

The pesticide dealer told reporters that because farmers frequently use highly toxic pesticides to kill insects, the insects are now very resistant to insects. They are aware that they sell pesticides. In fact, these pesticides were eventually eaten. Because the heartworm has already formed, even if the apple is thrown into a drug that does not mix with water, it will never die. However, if a person eats an apple, the person’s life expectancy will be reduced from 60 to 40 years old, and from 40 to 20 years old, it is a chronic severe suicide.

Second, the use of pesticides in their own food and high-toxicity pesticides for external sales have harmed the farmers. We have seen that local farmers in Weinan, Shaanxi Province are aware of the harm caused by high-toxic pesticides. The fruits and vegetables sold are separated from the vegetables and fruits that they have eaten. The vegetables and fruits sold outside are free to spray high-toxicity pesticides. The vegetables and fruits eaten by themselves are better at killing insects and not using pesticides. There are many strict regulations on the abuse of pesticides in the country. Why do such things happen repeatedly?

Hua County is an important vegetable base in Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. The reporter went to a large vegetable planting area in the three small towns of Hua County. Just after entering here, the reporters smelled a strong and pungent smell of pesticides. Here, reporters can see discarded pesticide bottles, pesticide bags and injections everywhere. In the middle of the road in the park, the reporter also discovered such a highly toxic pesticide packaging bag called “***”. The state stipulates that this pesticide is absolutely prohibited on fruits and vegetables. According to Article 6 of the “National Catalogue of Hazardous Wastes” of 2008, waste pesticides and their packaging should be managed in accordance with hazardous wastes. Obviously, this provision has not been implemented at all here. The vegetable farmers in three counties in Hua County told the reporter that vegetables should be prevented and treated without diseases, and they are usually given once every 10 days.

The vegetable farmers here told the reporter that the vegetables in greenhouses are hot and humid, and they are very prone to insect pests. Therefore, even if vegetables are not diseased, they usually have to fight drugs to prevent them. Between the dozens of greenhouses, the reporter accidentally discovered an open-air vegetable plot. The 80-year-old vegetable farmer told reporters that this was his family's private plot. The old man said that he only eats the vegetables in the reserved area and never eats the vegetables from the greenhouse. Many pesticides are used in the market. Many people now have cancer. They eat pesticides, and they often use 3911 as leeks and insects. The old people also persuade reporters to eat less leeks.

In fact, vegetable farmers are well aware of the toxicity of these banned drugs, but they are still widely used. The vegetable farmers told reporters that there are people who buy large quantities of poisonous pesticides. When they are useful, the family buys a box. A box is a bottle of 10 bottles. The medicine is poured into the water. Therefore, it is generally not to eat leeks. The cancer is caused by these pesticides.

This peasant vegetable farmer told reporters that compared with common pesticides, the price of high-toxic pesticides is cheaper. Take high-toxic pesticides like organic phosphorus as an example: 300-packed bottles of 7-8 yuan each, 1 bottle 3- 4 barrels of water, you can spray 1 acre. The cost per mu is less than 100 yuan, which is at least a third of the cost of conventional pesticides, and the effect of highly toxic pesticides is much better than that of ordinary pesticides. The vegetable growers said that when the vegetable seedlings were not grown in the winter, the pesticides were poured, and after the coverage, they would not have to fight. It was a highly toxic pesticide. Leek is generally used 3911 pesticides, residue period of one month and two months.

The vegetable farmer told reporters that the use of highly toxic pesticides is very common practice for the cultivation of leeks. Because there is a kind of pest in the soil, it is very resistant to insects. It is difficult to control it without using highly toxic pesticides. The vegetable growers said that when his family used to plant leeks, they were irrigating highly toxic pesticides.

Farmers are arbitrarily using highly toxic pesticides. What is the situation for some of the large-scale planting bases? A demonstration vegetable plantation base in Dagu County, Weinan City was seen by reporters in a corner of a vegetable greenhouse. The only bottle of pesticide that was discarded was clearly marked on the bottle as a highly toxic pesticide called “****.” The bottle also clearly read the words “cannot be discarded”. This kind of highly toxic pesticide called **** is prohibited by the state for use in fruits and vegetables. In 2010, the pesticide residues in Hainan Neem and Kidney Bean were exceeded because of it. The reporter noticed that in the place not far from this highly toxic pesticide bottle, the big brand of "Xiaoyi Town Modern Agriculture Demonstration Garden" was also established. The local vegetable farmers told reporters that it is not just **** that, at the local pesticide supply point, vegetable farmers can easily buy various highly toxic pesticides. To the pharmacy there are people to give you, tired insects with high toxic drugs, such as isophos, *** and so on.

Even more shocking to reporters is that local farmers not only randomly sprayed vegetables on highly toxic pesticides, but also the frequency of spraying is very intensive, sometimes two or three days will be sprayed once, far more than the pesticide interval of at least 7 days.

The reporter visited all four counties in Weinan City and investigated more than a dozen villages on the spot. The reporter noticed that there will be a plot of private plots behind the houses of the farmers' households in the area. Some dishes in the reserved plots do not look good, but local farmers only eat them. Farmers told reporters that the vegetables they eat don't use toxic drugs, and they can sell them.

The food that oneself eats does not fight drugs, the dish that sells is arbitrarily hits, this kind of reality makes people startled. Not only the vegetables, but also the fruit pesticides. In Pucheng County, the hometown of grape in Weinan City, the reporter encountered a fruit grower spraying the grapes. The fruit grower told reporters that when there are locusts, pesticides such as isophos-phosphate, which are highly toxic, can be purchased by pharmacies. Isoprenate is also known as methylisothiphos, which is also a highly toxic pesticide. According to the national regulations, it is only allowed to be used for seed dressing or soil treatment, and it cannot be used to control vegetable pests and foliar spraying of fruit trees.

In the interview, the reporter noticed that there was a lot of insect bite on the soybeans of a fruit farmer, but the farmer was only willing to spray the grapes, but refused to play a little on the soybeans. The fruit grower told reporters that soybeans are eaten by their own family and they try not to fight highly toxic pesticides.

The fruit farmer told the reporter that the pesticide shop in the village had many highly toxic pesticides, and some of the pesticides that were banned from production and sales in the country were often just changed packaging and names, and they could be bought everywhere. The fruit grower said that there are many types of pesticides. This year's name is called, and the name will be changed again next year. The pharmacy will also tell you what the original name was.

Third, CCTV Financial Reviewer: Increased Pesticide-Induced Cancer Increases Reporters saw in Weinan City, Shaanxi Province that shops randomly sell highly toxic pesticides and farmers randomly spray highly toxic pesticides. The situation is alarming. Why do so many laws and regulations become a dead letter, why are farmers so dependent on highly toxic pesticides? Why are eco-friendly planting techniques not recognized by farmers? With these questions, we interviewed Jiang Gaoming, chief researcher of the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. As a famous botanist in China, Jiang Gaoming has long tracked and investigated the situation of highly toxic pesticides. His research results show that China is the largest country in the production and use of pesticides. The amount of chemical pesticides per unit of cultivated area is 3 times higher than the world average. By five times, the area of crops that suffer from residual pesticide pollution is nearly 100%.

Jiang Gaoming, a CCTV financial commentator, said that the amount of pesticides used in China does not account for one ten-thousandth of the entire 1.8 billion mu of farmland. According to experts, officials also say that if crops are eaten with pesticides, they are just as necessary for people to take medicine. They are just like eating, and there are very few places where pesticides are not used.

Jiang Gaoming believes that the spread of pesticides in the past decade or so has seriously polluted the environment, destroyed the ecological and agricultural use of large quantities of pesticides, and has killed many natural enemies of pests, severely destroying the ecological balance of farmland and causing pests. The drug resistance continues to increase. Agricultural pests and diseases are getting more and more serious, the pesticide dosage is getting bigger and bigger, and the control effect is getting worse. This forms a vicious circle.

About highly toxic pesticides cause great harm to air, soil and water, including humans. Jiang Gaoming believes that, from the source, first of all, the destruction of ecological balance not only kills insects, but also kills beneficial insects, and the vaccine also kills them. The amount of pesticides used in China is the highest, and the production is also the most, because many international pesticide companies and foreign developed countries are closed and all move to China to produce, so the production volume is large and the amount used is also large. .

In Jiang Gaoming's multi-site investigation, he had witnessed many farmers who regularly spray highly toxic pesticides and eventually died of cancer. He also found that due to the abuse of pesticides, the bizarre diseases in various organs are increasing substantially, and the abuse of pesticides has become the culprit in causing cancer.

Jiang Gaoming said that how to get rid of the use of highly toxic pesticides and cause difficulties in the safety of agricultural products. The principle is actually very simple: prevention is the main place, where the insects come from, surely it is a species, and the insects produce bugs. After the sexes are mated, the females return to the ground to lay eggs to have offspring. However, after mating through certain techniques, we will not allow you to go back to the ground and fight drugs, beneficial insects will survive, beneficial insects will eat it, and some birds will also eat pests. I have done very extreme experiments. Half of the leaves eaten, photosynthesis is still strengthening, and the plants make up their growth. However, these principles do not tell the farmers. The person who sells pesticides tells him that he wants to sell more pesticides and frightens you to rush to use my medicine without any drug particles.

In January 2010, cowpea in five towns and cities in Lingshui County, Hainan Province, was found to have exceeded the standard for high-toxicity pesticides, which caused an uproar in Hainan's venomous cowpeas.

In April 2010, nine patients with edible leeks were hospitalized in Qingdao and were later found to have exceeded the standard for leek pesticide residues. This poisonous leek was used as a highly toxic pesticide that was banned by the state.

In May 2013, the poisonous ginger that broke out in Xiashan District, Weifang City, Shandong Province, was used by Shennongdan, a highly toxic pesticide used by some farmers. A 50-kilogram person could die of 50 mg.

For such a group of data, Jiang Gaoming believes that behind the repeated prohibition of high-toxic pesticides, the deeper reason is mainly the farmers. It is an excuse to pay attention to benefits, that is to say, he requires relatively low costs and better control of insect pests. He What is needed is output, and output means the benefit of the next step. Some highly toxic pesticides use only a small amount. In addition, the drugs are cheap, and underground production avoids the supervision of the country. There is no doubt that it is cheap, effective, and efficient, and it is also highly toxic.

Jiang Gaoming said that to truly eliminate the abuse of pesticides from its roots, the state should further increase the subsidy for safe production of agricultural products, and the market and consumers should also purchase more agricultural products with higher quality and higher prices. He said that the peasants have a two-track system and that he produces food that he does not fight pesticides, or he fights less. Very simple, people in the city said to sell you this small piece to me. If you do not want to spend more money, you will only be able to rest assured that he will keep it and will not sell it to you. This is good quality. No good price, bad money expels good money, and ultimately cause a very helpless phenomenon.

Do not allow measures to be observed on the wall for only half an hour. Cucumber, toxic cowpeas, formaldehyde, cabbage, and pesticides are used illegally on the walls. The proliferation of highly toxic pesticides is becoming the source of quality and safety of agricultural products. Although there are many factors that contribute to this problem, in Weinan City, Shaanxi Province, what we have seen is an ineffective regulatory system. There are highly toxic banned pesticides on the walls. Insufficiency of insect pests, free use of highly toxic pesticides, has been extended to the village level technology promotion system is reflected in where? Reporters casually visited, shocking phenomenon one by one, the regulatory authorities do not know or can not control? Although we can't kill everything with one stick, we still have to ask why the functional departments cannot be effective at the source? We hope that the local government can take up its responsibility and don't let the measures and methods be stuck on the wall without power, and stop the people from eating heartbreak.
