In the continuous development of the plastic pipe industry, technological innovation and technological progress have played an important role. However, China's plastic pipe industry still has insufficient attention to concept innovation. Some enterprises still focus on product imitation, lack of basic technology research; some enterprises have low investment in science and technology research, and relatively low-tech and high value-added products. The standard is the basis of quality and the “standard ropeâ€. Participants have conducted in-depth exchanges on the global standards related to plastic pipes. For example, the technical manager of the European Plastic Pipe Fittings Association, Pitt introduced the latest progress of European PVC-O plastic pipe system standards, PVC-O plastics. The EN standard for piping systems is expected to be finalized by the end of 2017. This system standard specifies the joint connection requirements for PVC-O pipes, PVC-O pipe fittings, valves, joints and other plastic and non-plastic materials (metal, concrete) components.
The participants agreed that the past development of China's plastic pipe industry relied too much on the expansion of production. The rapid development of the industry also brought about relatively serious problems of homogenization overcapacity. In excess, overcapacity intensified market competition. Sexuality leads to more disordered and low-price competition in the market, resulting in uneven quality. "In order to get rid of the status quo, China's plastic pipe industry must develop with quality, firmly establish the idea of ​​'quality first', strengthen the quality awareness and management level of the enterprise, and gradually realize the transformation from a big plastic pipe country to a strong country."
