According to the latest news, the National Supercomputer Tianjin Center and the National Defense Science and Technology University jointly initiated the development of a new generation of supercomputer prototypes in China.
According to reports, the main feature of the new generation of tens of billions of supercomputers planned to be developed is to highlight autonomous, autonomous chips, autonomous operating systems, and autonomous computing environments. This is also the supercomputer with the highest rate of autonomy so far.
In terms of performance, the floating-point computing capacity of the new generation of autonomous supercomputers will reach the 18th power of 10, which is 200 times that of the current Tianhe 1 supercomputer, and will increase a new level than the current super-computing capability. .
According to the plan, prototype development of a new generation of autonomous supercomputers will be completed by the end of 2017 to early 2018.
