If conditions permit, it can be heated in special furnaces (such as flame heating furnaces, salt bath furnaces, electric resistance furnaces, etc.). When the site conditions on site are not allowed, a simple stove can be constructed and heated with solid fuels such as firewood and coke. If conditions permit, gas or liquid fuel can also be used for burning. Dip heating is usually only used for small size joints (internal diameter of 100mm or less), the method is simple and uniform heating. When oxygen-acetylene flame heating method is used to heat small parts or parts of larger parts, the method is simple, but more skilled techniques are required to prevent overheating and burning of parts.
Cold-installed method: It is completed by a slamming method, which easily causes damage to the parts.

The maximum temperature reached by heating in the oil bath depends on the nature of the oil and is generally below 200°C. When using other methods to heat the hub, the temperature of the coupling can be higher than 200°C, but from the perspective of metallurgy and heat treatment, the heating temperature of the coupling cannot be arbitrarily increased, and the recrystallization temperature of the steel is 430°C. If the heating temperature exceeds 430°C, a change in the internal structure of the steel material occurs, so the upper limit of the heating temperature must be less than 430°C. For insurance, the upper limit of the heating temperature should be below 400°C. As for the actual required heating temperature of the coupling, it can be calculated based on the interference of the coupling with the shaft and the requirements of the coupling after heating the coupling to the shaft.
