(I) Installation precautions for lightning rods are as follows:

(2) The installation of lightning protection strips on the parapet or gutter bracket shall be fixed with a bracket when installed along the parapet wall; and the bracket shall be embedded as far as possible with the construction. The stand height of the bracket should not be less than 150mm.

When the conditions are restricted, holes not less than 100mm x 100mm x 100mm shall be reserved in the construction of the wall. The size of the hole shall be the same in the inside and out.

Firstly, the brackets at both ends of the straight section are embedded, and then the intermediate bracket is embedded in the pull-through wire. The bracket at the turning point should be 0.25-0.5 m away from the midpoint of the turn.

The straight-line brackets have a horizontal spacing of 1-1.5m and a vertical spacing of 1.5-2m, and the bracket spacing should be evenly distributed.

When lightning protection belts (nets) are installed on building gutters and fixed with brackets, pre-embedded parts shall be installed along with civil construction. Brackets and embedded parts shall be welded and fixed.

(3) The lightning protection strips shall be installed on the roof ridges, cornices and brackets with concrete supports or brackets.

Prominent metal objects on the roof of a building, such as flag poles, breathable pipes, iron railings, ladders, cooling towers, TV masts, etc. Metal conductors in these areas must be welded to the lightning protection belt (net).

When lightning protection belts (nets) are laid along slope-shaped roofs, the lightning protection belts (nets) should be arranged parallel to the roof and should be bent along with the building styling at the corners. Generally, it should not be less than 90 degrees, and the bending radius should not be less than 10 times the diameter of round steel, or flat. Six times the width of the steel, it must not be bent at right angles.

(5) The method of arresting the lightning protection zone by means of telescopic settlement joints shall bend the lightning protection zone to the side with a radius of 100mm, and the distance between the support center and the building edge shall be reduced to 400mm.

The installed lightning protection belt (net) should be straight and firm, and should not have the undulation and bending phenomenon. The permissible deviation value of the straightness per 2m inspection section should not be greater than 3%. The total length should not exceed 10mm.
