From April 10th to 12th, Jilin University participated in the “2013 China Zhengzhou Science and Technology Achievements Trading and High-Tech Talent Exchange Conference (referred to as the Science and Technology Fair). The current trade fair was co-sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the State Intellectual Property Office, and the People's Government of Henan Province. It was hosted by the Henan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Academy of Sciences, the Provincial Intellectual Property Office, and the Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government. The theme is “Strengthening scientific and technological cooperation, promoting the transformation of cooperation results, introducing scientific and technological talents, and strengthening industrial development”. Liu Xiaomin, deputy secretary of the party committee and secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, signed a scientific and technological cooperation framework agreement on behalf of the school and the Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government.

Zhengzhou City will build the country's largest super-hard material base. According to reports, the new material industry cluster area has a total planned area of ​​about 10 square kilometers. After completion, it is expected to reach an annual output value of 100 billion yuan. It will become the country's largest super-hard material product. The main material, complete supporting facilities, new material industrial park with distinctive industrial characteristics, and the “China First Class” modern industrial industrial base that highlights the profound cultural heritage of the Central Plains.

On the basis of understanding the local industrial structure and the overall layout of the production, study and research of the school, the Industrial Technology Research Institute organized the relevant teachers of the School of Physics and the State Key Laboratory of Superhard Materials, and went deep into the local leading enterprises engaged in the production of superhard materials to negotiate and seek. Science and technology cooperation, and the People's Government of Xiangyang City, where the new material industry cluster area of ​​Zhengzhou City is located, has contacted and negotiated to establish a public service platform in the park and reached preliminary intentions.
