Amaranth, also known as the millennium red, fireball flower, red fireball, is the annual herbaceous flower of the family. Amaranth flowers bloom in summer and autumn, flowers are small, born in the branches, densely integrated into a spherical shape, which is a flower head. Amaranth is native to China and India. It is not strict with the environment, but it is sunny, hot and dry, suitable for loose and fertile drainage soil.

Amaranth is propagated with seeds, seeded from September to October, planted from April to May, and planted in June. The seeds are crispy fruit with perianth and the outer coat. Soaking seeds with cold water for 1-2 days before sowing can increase the emergence rate. The soaked seeds are slightly dried and mixed with grass ash for sowing. After the seeds are germinated, several times of topping and pruning are carried out in the seedling stage, which can promote the plants to multi-branched and flowering, and the plants are low. Plants with short internodes are selected to maintain excellent varieties. During the growing period, apply proper amount of fertilizer and water, pay attention to cultivating weeding and weeding in the rainy season.

Be kept moist after potting a potent red pot and pay attention to shade. The growth period is combined with watering for top dressing. This flower is not strict with fertilizer and water, and the management can be more extensive. After the residual flowers are pruned, the new branches can still be germinated and bloom again in late autumn, but more fertilizer should be applied.
