Weed control is also important. Chemical weeding should be done as soon as the wheat emerges, and it’s best to apply herbicides before weeds become too established. Choose a low-drift herbicide like broadleaf net to avoid damaging the crop. Spraying should be done carefully to ensure safety and effectiveness.
Pest management is another key aspect. For bacterial stripe disease, applying agricultural streptomycin through foliar spray in the early stages can help prevent its spread. For rust, targeted foliar sprays should be used when the disease is detected. Insect pests such as aphids and wheat thrips can be controlled using insecticides combined with foliar fertilizers during the flag leaf stage.
Foliar fertilizer application is also beneficial. Zinc sulfate can be sprayed during the early growth stages to support plant health. Later, potassium dihydrogen phosphate and dry land dragon can be used to protect against heat stress and dry air damage. These practices not only enhance yield but also improve the overall resilience of the crop.
