In the context of the rapid growth of Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), the photovoltaic market is continuously evolving, demanding more advanced and efficient solutions for the encapsulation of double-glass solar PV modules. In response to these emerging needs, Lushan has developed a specialized EVA film tailored for its double-glass module applications.
Recently, several manufacturers have adopted new processing techniques that involve direct assembly using component laminators. The Lushan double-glass module's proprietary EVA film has been successfully tested in a comprehensive series of mechanical, optical, electrical, and aging performance evaluations. As a result, it has been widely applied in mass production of double-glass solar PV modules and has received positive feedback from customers. It is now considered the preferred choice among manufacturers looking for reliable and high-performance packaging materials.
The Lushan EVA film is designed to replace traditional polyvinyl butyral (PVB) films in double-glass module applications. It enables direct lamination in the laminator, offering cost-effective and efficient production. This innovative material helps eliminate common defects such as air bubbles and misalignment during the manufacturing process. Additionally, it provides excellent impact resistance, superior water vapor barrier properties, high insulation resistance, and strong resistance to potential-induced degradation (PID). These features ensure compliance with rigorous safety standards, including the falling ball impact test for double-glass modules.
