In the application of lithium molybdenum oxide based smooth oil should pay attention to:
1. Molybdenum disulfide has good water resistance, good mechanical stability and pressure resistance; it is mainly used for the smoothing of heavy load machinery.
2. Molybdenum disulfide has a certain corrosive effect on copper and its alloys; it is not suitable for transportation with copper pipes; it will cause pipeline blockage and lead to lack of oil.
3. It is not suitable for the worm gear set made of copper alloy; it will cause broken teeth due to corrosion.
4. It is not suitable for the rolling bearing of copper alloy as the cage; it will cause the cage to crack due to corrosion.
5. When the parts made of copper and its alloys are in need of smoothness; the best is not to use smooth products rich in molybdenum disulfide. This is the experience of many equipments.
